For those culture vultures out there, America has just posted two Web-only items of note. The first is a review of the film "Doubt" by Michael V. Tueth, S.J., a professor of communications at Fordham University and a frequent contributor to our pages. "Doubt" of course is based on the Tony-award winning play by John Patrick Shanley about allegations of clerical impropriety at a Catholic school in 1964 New York.Next up, Emily Brennan reviews Conor McPherson’s "The Seafarer," an eerie Christmas tale involving cards, booze and the devil himself. The play was staged in New York last Christmas season, and is now playing at the Steppenwolf in Chicago through February 8.
