Tom,  I too am favorable to the OWS movement as a creative expression of the Spirit.  I am glad to see NY Times experts like Kruguman and others giving positive responses.   Harder to dismissi it  as romantic youth movement.

I applaud the Occupy Archdiocese of Oklama City movement.

I would like to see this movement expand to Occupy many Archdioceses including Rome for the purpose in giving voice to the laity, theologians and the many priests and bishops who sit behing silent pulpits but disgree with certain Church teachings and how our Church functions and is managed. Why wait for another 100 years for the Church to reform itself.  Our Church continues to be a blessed and holy Church but one that inadvertently causes suffering, confusion and moral dilemman, when the only voice heard is their own, namely the Vatican and those that support every teaching and decison, without remainder. Let us pray for a solution to our crisis in truth.

We have started Occupy Archdiocese of Oklahoma City for the purpose of supporting increased visibility for the social teachings of the Catholic Church here in our archdiocese.

I'm in!  As a 71 year old Vatican II Catholic, I'm angry as hell and refuse to take it anymore!  The last straw has been the regressive new Mass translation, a move by Rome to denigrate yet another Vatican II advancement, the English Mass translation.  I will refuse to use the term 'consubtantial' as an example and I wish to join a 'Prayer-in' at the local Cathedral. In my case, it is St. Agnes Cathedral in Rockville Centre.  It should be a peaceful prayer-in asking the official church to hear the cry of the faithful... It might just work!  I can be reached at ejthomp2000@yahoo.com  Please contact me.
