Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will raise up a righteous shoot to David; as king he will reign and govern wisely, he shall do what is just and right in the land. In his days we shall be saved, we shall dwell in security. This is the name they give him: "the Lord Jesus, our savior". Jeremiah 23, 2-8 Come again to us, Lord Jesus, to save us from all that means to harm us; let us dwell in security – each and every one of my relatives, friends, neighbors, enemies. Help us be just, with your justice and love, toward those forgotten by the stronger members of our society. O SACRED LORD OF ANCIENT ISRAEL, who showed Yourself to Moses in the burning bush, who gave him the holy law on Sinai mountain: come, stretch out Your mighty hand to set us free.
