Paul Elie at "Everything that Rises" has a nice magazine mash up over America's Colbert cover v Rolling Stone's Pope cover.

Some highlights: "Stephen Colbert on the cover of America, and Pope Francis on the cover of Rolling Stone: it’s as if every Belloc-imbibing paleoconservative’s nightmare of a commercially driven progressive monoculture has come true."

and...

"Rolling Stone's offices (1350 Avenue of the Americas, at 55th Street) are one block away from America's (106 West 56th Street, near the Avenue of the Americas). It’s as if Jann Wenner and James Martin met for lunch and decided to switch hats for a news cycle."

I didn't realize that America's offices and RS's were so close to one another but I think Paul's imagined meet up would be very beneficial...for Jann.
