And suddenly there came from the sky a noise like a strong driving wind,
and it filled the entire house in which they were.
Acts 2:2

It was my colt they came for
                                              untethered
dispatched by father so the one who healed me
of demons  could ride as richly as
he deserved
It was father who bade me carry
food to them where we kept them  hiding from
the beasts with swords
                                    But I knew I was
to watch day after day
                                   when the women rushed
in with their shattering news  when some disappeared
two by twos  only to come staggering back
                                                                     weeping
stuttering  to collapse on the floor   consumed
by their encounters
And when the trembling shook the entire house
it woke me into shock
                                   how can a room breathe
fire and pounding laughter
                                         (Oh if the watchers
hear)
When they jumped into the street some threw me
to the ground  but the young one
                                                   who always touched
my brow   said
                        Come  it is your time
You felt his hand pull you up from the mud
that nearly devoured you
                                      Now help us pull them
all oh, all  from a darkness
That can no longer claim   or hold   Shout
all you have longed to shout
Shout
